Department of Folklore
History of the found of department of folklore of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, is doing today a great job of collecting, publication and research of the Uzbek oral folklore begins with a research office in ethnography, folklore and archeology of the Committee studying the Uzbeks of the Scientific Council of the People's Commissariat of Education of the Republic Uzbekistan, formed in 1928 under the head of H.T.Zarifov. In December 1929, the Cabinet, the head of which was H.T.Zarifov, placed at the disposal of the restructured State Research Institute of Uzbekistan as independent (separate) departments.
