Department of Literature of the XX century and Modern literary process
In 1929, on the basis of the Uzbek State Research Institute (USRI) was established sector of language and literature, whose staff for the first time in the history of Uzbek literature began to study the work of the representatives of not only classical, but modern Uzbek Soviet literature. In 1931, the sector of language and literature USRI was reorganized into the Uzbek Research Institute of Cultural Construction (URICC), on the basis of which in 1934 was created by Uzbek Research Institute of Language and Literature at the Committee of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR.
