Department of Modern Uzbek language
Department of modern Uzbek language is important in the scientific activities of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi. The department was actively involved in solving the most important theoretical and practical problems of the Uzbek linguistics. Department in different years led by well-known Uzbek linguists A.Gulomov, Abdullayev, Fakhri Kamol, A.Hodjiev, E.Begmatov. In the department of "Modern Uzbek language" operates scholars such as Fakhri Kamol, G.Abdurahmonov, A.Mahmudov, M.Sodikova, Ahmadov, S.Muhamedov, J.Mamatov, O.Umarkhujaeva and others. Currently there are 1 doctor and 1 PhD and two junior scientific researchers are working.
